Description
The engine was swapped from 1.5 to 2.0, this was done by previous owners; as far as I remember, the head is from a 2.0 and the block is left from a 1.5, or vice versa—there is no visible difference from the outside. The engine runs unevenly, sometimes stalls when stopping at a traffic light. It runs smoother on petrol than on gas. Sometimes it lacks power, but when it pulls, it's a fun car. The catalytic converter is untouched.
The underbody is in good condition, the body is generally OK, only the rear door has a defect, visible in the photo.
The suspension was maintained for personal use, but recently something starts rattling after driving for about an hour.
The clutch was replaced 1.5 years ago.
The interior is worn. The AC somehow doesn't work. The seats do not heat.
In winter, it pulls out of snowdrifts easily, you can take corners however you want, you only remember it's winter when braking.
The gas tank is valid until the technical inspection (MOT) expiration.
A year and a half ago, a daydreaming passat kissed the rear of the car on the highway. After the incident, it was driven another 800km home; everything was straightened out, necessary parts were replaced, i.e., the trunk lid, bumper, brackets, the right fender and sill were repainted—it became better looking than before. In short, everything was fixed with insurance money, and the repaired areas are still holding up great. A safe car, it held up like a tank.
