I am selling a Saab 9-3 1999 turbo diesel. Technical inspection (MOT) is valid until October 30. It did not pass the inspection because the floor under the driver's seat and one arch are rusted, the front left bearing is loose (a new one costs 19 EUR), and it failed the smoke/emissions test, but it should pass after driving at higher RPMs. There is another issue where the starter occasionally doesn't turn, but it starts after a light tap, so the starter brushes are likely worn, although lately it has been starting fine every time I tried; the engine runs nicely and pulls well. The rear wiper does not work. The body has rust, and the paint is peeling in some places; otherwise, everything else is mostly fine. The most serious repair done a long time ago was the fuel pump mechanics; there haven't been any other major repairs. Mid-range parts were used for maintenance. For the last 10 years, it has been used very little because I mostly rode a bicycle, so the car was rarely needed; the mileage is 294,000 km, which is low for a car of this age. Oil and filters were changed 2,000 km ago. The most recent repairs included replacing the alternator ring and the clutch piston. I have owned it for about 15 years, so it's hard to let it go, but I have another car and no longer want to invest in this one. I would like 600€, but the price is highly negotiable.
