* After installing the Android multimedia, all original functions will remain and work: parking sensors, steering wheel buttons, "iDrive" knob, rear or 360 cameras (if factory-equipped). By pressing and holding the "Menu" button on the "iDrive" knob for 3 seconds, you can switch to the original multimedia and see/use all original functions; by simply touching the screen or pressing and holding the "Menu" button again, you return to the more modern Android menu.

Functions:

* Ability to download apps from Google Play: Youtube, Spotify, Waze, Google maps, Youtube music. You can use the split screen function "split mode", e.g., Youtube on one side of the screen and Waze navigation on the other.
* Music and video directly from USB or by uploading files to the device's internal memory.
* Navigation working in offline and online modes. Most commonly used are iGo and Waze. GPS antenna included.
* Integrated 4G LTE module, a SIM card can be used for internet.
* WIFI, ability to connect to the internet via a portable modem or simply by sharing a "Hotspot" from your smartphone.
* Integrated Bluetooth, microphone with hands-free equipment for calls and music playback. An external microphone can also be connected in the original location, or it can be connected to the original microphone.
* Different menu style/design choices for the Android menu.
* Android can be controlled with the "iDrive" knob or the Touch Screen.
* Supports DAB digital radio antenna (sold separately) + 20 eur
* Supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
* Choice of many world languages

* A rear-view camera can be connected even if the car did not have one originally; it activates automatically when shifting into reverse. Price 30-40 eur

* A front camera can be connected, relevant for those with low cars. You can safely park with 1-2cm accuracy from an obstacle with the front of the car. Price - 40 eur
